This policy explains how Lerato Inspires handles personal information in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).
1. Who we are
Lerato Inspires is the author and thought-leadership platform of Lerato Senoko Dube. For the purposes of POPIA, Lerato Inspires is the responsible party for personal information collected through this website. Contact details for privacy questions will be published here once confirmed.
2. What we collect
When enquiry forms on this site are connected, they will collect only what is needed to respond to you:
- Your name and email address
- The topic or event you are asking about
- The contents of your message
- Any optional details you choose to share (for example organisation, preferred dates or audience size)
3. Why we collect it
- To respond to your enquiry
- To share event, book and availability information you have asked for
- To add you to the mailing list, only where you have explicitly signed up
We will not use your information for any other purpose without your consent.
4. Lawful basis
We process personal information with your consent (given when you submit a form or sign up) and, where relevant, to take steps at your request before entering into an agreement with you, as permitted by POPIA.
5. Sharing
We do not sell personal information. Where an event is presented with partner organisers, details needed to process your event interest may be shared with those organisers - this will always be indicated at the point of collection.
6. Retention and security
Personal information is kept only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for, and reasonable technical and organisational safeguards are used to protect it.
7. Your rights
Under POPIA you may ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, and you may withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa).
8. Cookies
This site currently uses no tracking cookies. If analytics or embedded services (such as a scheduling calendar) are added later, this section will be updated before they go live.
